Obama focuses on education in the SOTU

Obama calling on States to take initiatives to improve their educational system. The school had to stop “teaching to the test,” he said, referencing policies that are applied with no child left behind Act of 2001. He also makes the case that students should be asked to stay in high school until they graduate or reach the age of 18.

“When students do not walk away from their education, more of them walked the stage to get their diploma,” he said. “When students are not allowed to drop out, they do better.”

“When kids graduate, the most daunting challenges to tuition fees,” he said.

Obama said America owes more in debt cost of credit card debt and called on Congress to stop the level of interest on student loans from the two-fold, which is set takes place in July. He also argues that Congress should extend the tax credit costs and increase the amount of work the work available on college campuses.
